What does JEEYAR means?
A Jeeyar is a Vaishnavite Sanyasi. The word Jeeyar in Sanskrit is based on the root Jee-jaye, to win i.e., one who has controlled all his senses victoriously (Jayaseela) and is able to win over the challenges posed by others by means of arguments for which he has to master Vedic lore and Sastras.

What is OORDHWAPUNDRA (Namam on the forehead)?

Literally the word means a religious mark (Pundra) which is worn upright (oordhawa). In common parlance it is called Namam. The Indian tradition has always insisted upon its followers to wear namam appropriate to their faith on their bodies especially on their forehead. One such namam is Oordhwapundra. Its significance is that it dispels the darkness of ignorance and reduces sins to ashes.

The SRS Team along with K.Jagadish(President of My home Industries), Sriman Prasad Sthapathi, Chief Architect of this project along with Chinese delegates had come and presented the musical fountain visuals to HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji and Dr Rameshwar Rao ji. Details were discussed in detail and feedback is given to the team.

  • Narasimha Jayanti is celebrated on the 14th day of Shukla Paksha(Waxing phase of moon) in Vaisha:kha month.
  • Lord Narasimha is the 4th incarnation of Maha Vishnu. Lord Vishnu appeared in form of Narasimha to kill the demon Hiranyakashipu.
