Highlights of the day
20th June 2023 was the day that the entire UK, especially Team JETUK, had been eagerly waiting for as it was the day that His Holiness Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji and parivaram was due to touchdown in UK for his 2023 visit. It felt as though London was already preparing to welcome our esteemed Acharya with the day starting with some heavy showers. After quite a few days of hot weather, the rains were the welcome change that London needed so very much.
To Add to it, everyone’s anticipation about Swamivaru’s imminent arrival grew a mite with every passing minute. Some shared their cherished photos of Swamivaru’s previous visits to the UK while others regularly checked Flightradar to see where Swamivaru’s flight was then. At a few minutes past 9 pm, Swamivaru passed through the Arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport to be greeted by the loud chants of Jai Sriman Narayana from the assembled devotees. Swamivaru then blessed the assembled devotees, and everyone was elated to see his smiling ever-radiant face.
After leaving Heathrow, Swamyvaru arrived at Amersham where puja was performed for Swamyvaru’s padukas. Though it was late at night, Swamyvaru very kindly arranged for a Theerthagoshti, where everyone was given Theeraprasadam. There was also a quick and short message by Swamywaru that addressed the assembled devotees. The next day was International Yoga Day and everyone was gearing up for JETUK’s first 2023 event with Swamivaru – “
21st June 2023 – International Yoga Day @ Amersham”.
