Highlights of the day
It felt like a fleeting moment but a week had passed since His Holiness Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji had graced us with his 2023 tour of the UK. Fittingly and as if to celebrate one week of Swamyvaru in the UK, JETUK held another magnificent event on the 27th of June 2023 – Sanjeevam, Good way of living life.
The event took place in Stantonbury Theatre, Milton Keynes. Despite it being a work day, yet again the hall was completely packed with devotees. The event started with the lighting of the lamp ceremony and a beautiful bhajan. This laid the stage for a mass chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa by the assembled devotees. A vibrant and very spiritual atmosphere was conjured by the lively chanting of the assembled devotees. This was followed by various cultural activities such as the singing of devotional songs, and beautiful classical dance performances and skits by our young devotees.
Swamyvaru then led the devotees into a trance with yet another spellbinding discourse in which His Holiness revealed the greatness of Sri Hanuman and the role Sri Hanuman played in reuniting Sri Rama with Sita mata. Also, the hidden meaning of Sri Hanuman’s act and how it mirrors the role an Acharya or Guru plays in uniting a jeevatma with Paramatma was very aptly explained by Swamywaru. As the puja progressed, Swamywaru, also elaborated on each section of the puja as it was conducted by the ensemble of very highly acclaimed vedic priests. Yagaprasam was distributed to the participants and Swamyvaru also gave the yajamans the sacred Sri Hanuman medallions to which puja had been performed. Later there were very engaging speeches by Mahamahopadhyaya, Sri Samudrala Venkata Ranga Ramanujacharya Swami and Sri Santosh Swamy about the greatness of Sri Hanuman.
After the event an array of delicious prasadam was served to all the assembled devotees.
