Dhokla
Dhokla is a traditional dish from Gujarat which is a great Vegan snack
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups medium semolina
- 2 tbsp chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 finely chopped green chillies
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 cups yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1-2 tbsp water
- 2 tsp ENO (Fruit salt)
Tempering / Tadaka
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 2 tsp desiccated coconut powder
- 1/4 bunch chopped coriander leaves
Procedure:
- Prepare a steamer/pressure cooker with water about an inch from the bottom boil it on medium high heat.
