Potato Fenugreek Curry

How to make Potato and Fenugreek (Aloo Methi) curry ?

  • 4 medium sized potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cup cleaned and chopped methi (fenugreek leaves)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Pinch of asafoetida powder
  • 1 chopped green chilly
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 tsp oil for shallow frying
  • Lemon juice of half a lemon
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnish
