About our First Sri Sita Rama Navami Celebrations:
As explained in the divine discourses of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam is not merely a historical remembrance of a wedding that happened in Treta Yuga. It is the celebration of Dharma itself. Sri Rama stands as Maryada Purushottama, the embodiment of righteousness, and Mother Sita is the very form of compassion, purity, and steadfast devotion. Their divine union teaches us that Dharma and Karuna must always go together.
Swamiji often says that when we participate in Sri Rama Kalyanam, we are not spectators. We are members of King Janaka’s family. We are Ayodhya vaasis. We are directly offering our service at the divine wedding of the Lord. Such participation purifies the mind and plants samskaras in the next generation.
With immense joy and gratitude, JETUK Milton Keynes is organising our very first Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam. This is a rare and sacred opportunity for all devotees to be part of this divine celebration through various sevas.
Devotees can participate in:
- Donating towards annadaanam and serving devotees.
- Participating in the saare procession, offering plates filled with auspicious items for Mother Sita.
- Taking part in the Edhurkolu Utsavam, inviting Sri Rama, the divine groom.
- Offering garlands to the divine couple.
Swamiji teaches that every small offering made with bhakti becomes immeasurable in the eyes of the Lord. Whether it is a handful of rice, a garland, a cloth offering, or simple seva, each act becomes a bridge connecting us to Sri Rama’s grace.
Let us come together as one spiritual family, celebrate this divine Kalyanam with devotion, and ensure that our children grow up not just hearing about Sri Rama, but serving Him.
