I worship poodath alvar who is the leader of thirukkadal mallai (ma:mallapuram) and was born out of a ma:dhavi (spring) flower and who lit the lamp of knowledge to have the vision of the supreme lord.

Azhwar’ history

Mudhal (first) azhwars consist of three azhwars all together.

Boothath Azhwar is the second amongst the mudal azhwars. He appeared in a Kurukkathi flower.

It is said that Bhoodham in Sanskrit means a person who with high calibre.
